Explore the beautiful underwater world of St. Maarten while you walk on the bottom of the sea. At the Sea Trek you will be able to experience all kinds of marine life, sunken shipwrecks, canons, a submarine and lots of colourful coral; all by just walking around!

You will take on a big diving helmet covering your head and shoulders, so your hair will stay dry and you can wear glasses.

General Information

This Helmet- diving course is safe and suitable for almost everybody. You don’t have to breathe through a mouthpiece as there will be continuous fresh air pumped into your helmet. After the briefing you will descend on a ladder into the ocean, while a staff member of the Sea-Trek will accompany you. The helmet weights about 15pounds (7KG) and for smaller adults or children there are lift-ups to help you carry the helmet.

There will always be a certified guide from the Sea Trek and a team of safety divers to accompany you when you participate in the tour.

The minimum age is 8 years and the tour will take about an hour.

The tours are available almost every day, depending on the availability the tour might be scheduled another day. Confirm with the Front Office if there is a possibility for you to participate in a helmet-diving course on your preferred.

Location

The Sea-Trek helmet diving tours will start from Bobby’s Marina in Philipsburg.
